hi, i just installed Yahoo! Go for my Nokia e61i.

i’m on the pick your plan “prepaid” plan and i have a recharging 5MB a month of data.

i’m wondering if it’s a good idea to use push e-mail w/notifications without having an unlimited data plan. if i choose push e-mail “ON” under settings, will a constant connection drain my kb’s of allowed data?

my mobile browser is set to not show images, so i don’t use more than 10/20 kb’s checking e-mail over the web, but i’d like to use the Yahoo! client.

i know i’m able to select an update time, like an update every 2 hours. will that connect and disconnect the exchange of data in a more healthy way for my allowed 5MB a month?

It depends on if there’s anything more than just words in the notification, if there’s pictures that are in that, then yes it will take the kbs data out of your 5mb package. Why not just upgrade to unlimited just to be on the safe side?

My Internet Explorer was corrupted, everytime I tried to get online it would freeze on the Yahoo site. Dell support was on the phone with me for 2 hours to figure it out, so I gave the Dell Tech. control of my computer and she downloaded Mozilla Fire Fox. I asked her to add the Yahoo toolbar, which she did, reluctantly (don’t know why). I used to have a Google window where I could just “google” whatever I was looking for and now it’s gone along with my ability to use the scroll bar on the mouse pad (Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop, 6 months old, if it makes a difference). Can anyone out there help a computer illiterate Google/Yahoo friend? I appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks so much in advance:) Frustrated!
Thanks for the answers so far, the Dell Tech said that if I add more toolbars I would have more problems. Is she correct? I sound computer challenged because it’s new to me:{ Thanks for the help:)

and how much did this cost you, simple things you can do it yourself job would save you all that, go to google.ca and download there toolbar, but you only need one toolbar google is not hard to find
