are all cingular prepaid cards…considered “go phone” cards?
Question by BrightEyes(:: are all cingular prepaid cards…considered “go phone” cards?

Answer by Heather L
Anything that says “cingular prepaid” or “Cingular gophone” can be used for prepaid phones. It may be a 3rd party company selling them (ex. Fastcards from Walmart), but they can always be used. If 611 says there is an error, there should be an 800# on the back of the card and you can add it using that.

can you activate prepaid cell phone cards at home?
Question by : can you activate prepaid cell phone cards at home?
Someone sold me a prepaid cell phone “minutes” card for cheap, and since it hadn’t been scratched off I thought what the hell and bought it. Now the code isn’t working and I’m curious if I can swipe it at a store somewhere or punch the numbers in online. It’s obviously stolen and I’m only out 5 bucks but the card’s for ten and I’d like to try and get it working.

No, the card must be activated by a employee who not only scans it but also keys in a code to activate the card to be used at the store who issued the card. The card you bought is worthless. It cannot be activated because it was never rang up at the register. My suggestion would be to think about a purchase before you go all out. Prepaid cards cannot be sold for 50% of and be genuine, it’s not possible. Sometimes you got to listen to the “it’s to good to be true” sang. Its works wonders, and save you from bad decisions.
